Job summary

Axtria is seeking a Senior Manager Data Engineering to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data warehousing and ETL-driven systems across multiple cloud platforms. The role emphasizes data governance, quality, and scalable data products to enable advanced analytics and AI capabilities.

The candidate will lead a mid-sized team, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain.
• Expertise with Snowflake and AWS/Azure cloud stack.
• Ability to manage a mid-sized team.
• Strong data warehousing, reporting and data integration fundamentals.
• Advanced SQL expertise.
• Experience with AWS/Azure cloud data stores and related services.
• Knowledge of Big Data (Hadoop ecosystem) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with at least two reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, JasperSoft, QlikView/QlikSense).

Job Title: Senior Manager Data Engineering

Job Location: Gurgaon/Noida/Bangalore/Pune/Hyderabad

Job Summary: This role will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of Data warehousing systems and processes using ETL technologies and troubleshooting any potential issues.

Job Responsibilities

• Redesigning and implementing a next gen Data engineering solution for a large pharma
• Integration of acquired brands into the eco system
• Design and implement data products to support advanced analytics and AI capabilities
• Hands on experience in the design of reporting schemas, data products, data marts and ARDs

• Technology Leadership Independently he/she should be able to architect, design, implement deliver complex Databases/Data Warehousing/Data Lake, Data Integration and BI/Reporting/MDM Solutions.

• Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop value-added data driven solutions, frameworks and reporting solutions.
• Architecture/Technical Design and Development Expertise on AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, PowerBI, Data governance tools

• Lead requirements gathering and research, proposes technology solutions, and develops solutions within agreed upon timelines. Understand the underlying data and flow of data.

• Expert knowledge of SQL with the capability to performance tune complex SQL queries in tradition and distributed RDDMS systems is must.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues
• Create and maintain project plans
• Team management : planning, grooming, upskilling, motivation and career growth
• Automation and continuous improvement
• Client engagement including requirements management, user acceptance

Job Requirements

• Overall, 10+ years of rich experience in the Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Domain.
• Should have expertise and working experience on Snowflake, AWS/Azure cloud stack
• Should be able to handle a mid size team.
• Should have strong Data Warehousing, Reporting and Data Integration fundamentals.
• Advanced expertise with SQL
• Experience on AWS/Azure cloud data stores and its DB/DW related service offerings.
• Should have knowledge and experience of Big Data Technologies (Hadoop ecosystem) and NO SQL databases.
• Should have technical expertise and working experience in at least 2 Reporting tools among Power BI, Tableau, Jasper soft and QlikView/QlikSense
