Job summary

Tata AIG General Insurance Company in Mumbai seeks a Commercial Claims Manager / Senior Manager with 5-9 years in Commercial Claims, including substantial marine exposure. You will oversee ocean marine cargo and liability claims, drive recovery and subrogation, and manage surveyors and brokers while servicing corporate accounts.

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills are essential as you independently handle claims files, coordinate with reinsurers, and contribute to end-to-end

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of experience in Commercial Claims.
• Exposure to Marine Claims 50–70% and Liability Claims 30–50%.
• Expertise in ocean marine cargo, liability, recovery/subrogation; surveyor management.
• Experience with corporate accounts, brokers; reinsurance exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial claims files and oversee stakeholders (brokers, surveyors, clients).
• Lead recovery/subrogation efforts and liaison with reinsurers as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate claim resolution with internal teams.

Commercial Claims Manager / Senior Manager

• 5-9 years of experience in Commercial Claims, with 50-70% exposure to Marine Claims and 30-50% to Liability Claims.
• Expertise in ocean marine cargo claims, liability claims, recovery/subrogation, and surveyor management.
• Experience handling corporate accounts, brokers, and surveyors; reinsurance exposure is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to independently manage claims files.
• Graduate in Engineering or any discipline; MBA preferred but not mandatory.
• CII/III qualifications are welcome but not a mandatory selection criterion.
