Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in Mumbai, India, is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to lead end-to-end logistics operations across India, driving transport, warehousing and import/export excellence. You will ensure timely product delivery, optimize costs, and strengthen customer service in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, experience in logistics with ERP systems (SAP preferred), and strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business administration, commerce or related field.
• Experience in food & beverage, ingredients, pharma or consumer products.
• Experience in import/export logistics, customs, transport, warehousing and distribution.
• Experience working with logistics providers, transporters, freight forwarders or warehouse partners.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to plants and warehouses as required.
• Experience coaching or leading small operational teams is advantageous.

• Manage inbound and outbound logistics across plants, warehouses, ports and customer locations.
• Oversee warehouse and distribution activities ensuring inventory accuracy and availability.
• Drive transportation and freight optimization to improve service while controlling costs.
• Manage relationships and performance of third-party logistics providers and freight partners.
• Support import/export operations, customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote safety, compliance and continuous improvement across logistics operations.

What You Will Do

• Oversee warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, product availability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive transportation and freight optimization initiatives that enhance service levels while managing logistics costs.
• Manage relationships and performance of third‑party logistics providers, warehouse operators, transporters, and freight partners.
• Support import/export operations, customs clearance activities, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Monitor logistics performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across logistics operations.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.

• Experience working in food & beverage, food ingredients/flavours, pharmaceutical, specialty chemicals, consumer products

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: import/export logistics, customs clearance, transportation, warehouse operations and inventory management, or distribution operations.

• Experience working with logistics service providers, transporters, freight forwarders, or warehouse partners.

• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Fluent English communication skills.

• Willingness to travel to plants and warehouses as required.

• Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading small operational teams is advantageous.
