Job summary

Karix seeks an experienced legal professional to manage contract negotiations, streamline processes, and oversee contract and litigation management. You will collaborate with internal teams and external counsels to ensure efficient legal operations, drive risk management, and provide robust support across RFPs.

The role demands a law graduate with 10–14 years’ in-house experience, with strong drafting, negotiation, and mentoring capabilities, in a fast‑growing telecom/CPaaS environment.

Qualifications

• LLB degree from an accredited law school.
• 10–14 years’ in‑house counsel experience, preferably in software/tech or BFSI.
• Proven ability in drafting and negotiating software/IT contracts and managing litigation.

Responsibilities

• Litigation management: brief senior management and external counsels with accurate documentation across courts.
• Contract drafting and negotiation: independently draft, review, and revise a wide range of contract documents with fast turnaround.
• Stakeholder collaboration: work with Sales, Finance, Customer Support, and Cybersecurity to align contract terms with business needs.
• Legal risk management: identify and mitigate risks; obtain internal approvals before finalization.
• Legal support: respond to RFPs and address legal queries from internal stakeholders.
• Team mentoring: lead and mentor the legal team with effective task delegation.

About the role -

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to manage contract negotiations, streamline legal processes, and oversee contract and litigation management. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient legal operations.

What You'd Do

• ?Litigation Management: Manage litigation matters, ability to brief Senior Management and external counsels (NCLT, Recovery suits before Civil Courts, Criminal matters/Cheque bounce matters/HC/SC filings) by maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with external counsel, and supporting the resolution of disputes as neede


• dContract Drafting and Negotiation: Independently draft, negotiate, review, and revise a wide range of contract documents with high efficiency and fast turnaround times


• .Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Customer Support, and Cybersecurity) to ensure contract terms align with business needs


• .Legal Risk Management: Identify and mitigate business and legal risks, ensuring all necessary internal approvals are obtained prior to contract finalization


• .Legal Support: Provide legal responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), address legal queries from internal stakeholders


• .Team Mentoring: Lead and mentor the legal team, ensuring effective task delegation and deliverable management
