Vahura represents a leading automotive company seeking a Senior Manager – Legal to join its Chennai-based Legal & Secretarial team. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and advising on corporate matters.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently with cross-functional partners. Automotive sector exposure is desirable.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts including supplier, customer and partnerships.
• Advise on joint ventures, MOUs, NDAs and arbitrations.
• Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance across functions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Automotive industry experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate supplier, customer, and partnership contracts.
• Advise on corporate and transactional matters including JVs, MOUs, NDAs and arbitrations.
• Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance across business functions.
• Provide risk mitigation and corporate advisory support.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier, customer and partnership agreements.
• Advise on general corporate and transactional matters, including joint ventures, collaborations, MOUs, NDAs and arbitrations.
• Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance across business functions.
• Strong expertise in commercial contracts, contract negotiations, risk mitigation and corporate advisory.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional business teams.
