Job summary

HCLTech is seeking ECAD / High Speed PCB Layout Design Engineers for Chennai/Bangalore to work on high-speed PCB projects using Cadence Allegro. You will lead design efforts, mentor teams, and deliver client-ready layouts with a focus on SI/PI and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of ECAD experience, strong DDR memory design knowledge, EMI/EMC awareness, and hands-on Cadence Allegro tools. Willingness to travel to client sites is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA required.
• 5+ years experience in ECAD/High Speed PCB Layout Design.
• Hands-on Cadence Allegro Layout Tool experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-speed PCB layout projects and drive design reviews.
• Ensure SI/PI integrity and manufacturability of designs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Customers to deliver design milestones.
• Create and manage PCB libraries, routing, DRCs, and publishing manufacturing files.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for EMI/EMC compliance and stack-up recommendations.

HCLTech is hiring experienced ECAD / High Speed PCB Layout Design Engineers for Chennai/Bangalore location. If you have strong expertise in high-speed PCB design and Cadence Allegro, we would like to connect with you!

Position: ECAD /High Speed PCB Layout Design Engineer

Experience: 5+ Years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA

Required Skills:

• High-speed PCB Layout Design experience (Mandatory)
• Hands-on experience in Cadence Allegro Layout Tool 24.1 and above
• Experience in HDI Micro-via Technology
• Strong knowledge of high-density, high-speed memory designs (DDR3/DDR4/LPDDR4)
• Experience in Power Delivery and Mixed Analog/Digital PCB designs
• Good understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
• Deep knowledge of Constraint Editor System (CES) and constraint-driven PCB designs
• Understanding of DFA, DFM, and DFT concepts to ensure quality fabrication and assembly
• Experience with Altera or complex SoC/Microprocessor/FPGA-based PCB designs (Preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead teams and customer deliverables

JD : High Speed Design

• High speed pcb design
• Mainly DDR experience
• Hands on Experience in High Speed PCB Design [ DDR 4/5, LPDDR, PCIe, MIPI 10 Gig+ , Ethernet etc ]
• Worked on Multilayer PCB design
• Experience in Library Part Creation, Placement, Routing, DRC setting up and DRC error clearance, Generation of Hype File for SI and PI analysis, EMI/EMC Compliance , Generation of Step Files /.dxf files , Gerber and Manufacturing file generation, Panalizations, Manufacturing file verification through CAM and DFM verification with Valor Tool
• Understand the DFM/DFT/DFX requirements & DFM implementation
• Design changes recommendation and understand the PI and SI analysis report and implement the corrections in the PCB design
• Understand and Recommends the PCB Stack-up
• Good at EMI/EMC compliance PCB Design
• Closely work with Manufacturing team on several technical and manufacturing aspects
