VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions) is seeking a senior Java Developer to design, develop and enhance scalable microservices-based applications in the Telco IT domain. You will work on hands-on development, ownership of technical solutions, and cross-functional collaboration with DevOps, architects, and product stakeholders.

The role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and databases, with 6+ years in architecture and system design, plus 2+ years in DevOps or cloud

About This Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop and enhance scalable micro‑services‑based applications within the Telco IT domain. The role involves hands‑on development, technical solution ownership and collaboration across cross‑functional teams, including DevOps, architects and product stakeholders. The individual will contribute to delivering robust, high‑performance systems and guide teams in implementing innovative and efficient technical solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and perform unit testing for Java/Spring Boot applications
• Apply strong debugging skills to troubleshoot complex issues
• Design and manage data models and database interactions
• Conduct performance testing and tuning of applications
• Lead and guide teams to identify and implement improved solutions
• Translate business and functional Telco requirements into technical designs
• Own solution design, configuration and implementation across multiple teams
• Define and configure interfaces for data exchange between services and front‑end applications
• Present high‑level, solution and technical designs to cross‑functional teams
• Analyse defects and coordinate resolution across teams
• Handle incidents and provide workarounds in complex production scenarios
• Conduct code reviews and approve pull requests for complex changes
• Collaborate with Product Owners/Managers and System Architects for feature breakdown
• Support system architecture design and high‑level planning
• Assist DevOps teams in deployment across environments

Who You Are

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, micro‑services and database technologies (relational and non‑relational)
• Minimum 6 years of experience in technical architecture, system design and solution development
• At least 2 years of experience working in a DevOps or cloud environment
• Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Grafana, AWS, GitHub, Jira and Confluence
• Experience working in Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid models)
• Working knowledge of Telco business domains (Cable/TV preferred)
• Ability to manage stakeholders effectively and collaborate across teams
• A proactive learner with a strong interest in evolving system landscapes and sharing knowledge
• Educational qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline (e.g., B.E./B.Tech, BCA/MCA, BSc/MSc)
