Job summary

Datagaps in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced Java/J2EE engineer to design and implement high-volume web applications. You will work with architects and product managers to translate requirements into robust REST services and scalable microservices.

You should bring strong Java and Spring Framework proficiency, hands-on REST API development, and familiarity with AI/RAG strategies. Leadership in mentoring peers is valued and collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing, engineering, and implementing high volume web-based applications using Java/J2EE and Spring Framework.
• Strong Java development and object-oriented design skills.
• Experience with AI/ RAG concepts is required.
• Knowledge of MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring Security.
• Experience in REST service design and development.
• Understanding of microservice architecture and design.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Architect and Product Managers to understand functional requirements and design the robust solution
• Being part of the Architecture and design of the product
• Design and Development of the REST Service
• Ability to identify innovative strategies to create a more secure environment and demonstrate the ability to turn these strategies into solutions
• Effective peer code reviews and mentoring the junior team members

Essential Skillsets:

• Minimum of 7+ yrs. experience designing, engineering, and implementing high volume web-based applications using Java/J2EE and Spring Framework
• Demonstrated skills in Java development and Object-Oriented concepts
• AI/ RAG experience required
• Proficiency in MVC Framework, Spring boot, Hibernate, Spring Security
• Expertise in design and development of REST Service
• Should have knowledge of Microservice Architecture and Design
• Experience in Apache Spark, UI frameworks like Angular is a plus
• Hands-on experience in Oracle, Postgres and other relational and No SQL databases
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Good to have knowledge of DevOps
• Good to have experience in building applications for the cloud
• Should have hands-on experience working with Application servers (Tomcat)
• Knowledge of Kafka, MQ is a plus
• Good knowledge of Git and branching strategies
• Good communication skill
