Job summary

EY India seeks a Lead / Senior Java developer in Delhi to design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems. You will contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, write clean, testable code, and prepare releases of software components.

Strong in core Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, REST/SOAP, and data stores (PostgreSQL, NoSQL). Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and web technologies is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong in core Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Microservices and SOA.
• Proven REST API and SOAP web services development.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Junit for unit testing; Spring Framework expertise; ORM (Hibernate).
• Web tech: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript; REST/ SOAP tests; JAX-WS/JAX-RS.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead / Senior Java developer responsibilities include designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Preferred candidate profile

• Technical Lead / Senior Developer should have prior experience of handling small & large-scale teams.
• Client Interaction and Sound Interpersonal and Communication Skills is must
• Oracle Java Certification (OCPJP/OCAJP/ OCP Web Components) will be added advantage.
• Strong in core Java/J2EE, Spring Boot
• Extensive Experience on Microservices, SOA.
• Extensive experience on REST API development / SOAP web services.
• Extensive knowledge of data processing, relational databases systems (PostgreSQL).
• Strong Experience on Micro-services development and deployment.
• Experience on Containerized platform components like Docker & Kubernetes.
• Experience on messaging systems Kafka / RabbitMQ.
• Experience on Web service Test Frameworks and Tools
• Extensive experience on Spring Framework, MVC, ORM, AOP, Spring Security, Transaction, Struts 2.0, Hibernate (ORM Framework), JPA, Unix.
• Designed and developed presentation layer using CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript framework (JQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap etc).
• Strong Experience on Web Services (SOAP & REST), JAX-WS / JAX-RS, JAXB, XML, JSON
• Hands on Unit testing frameworks (Junit).
• Experience on NoSQL databases (i.e., MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Hands on PostgresSQL with writing functions complex queries, views and optimization.
• Ability to do DB Design, Application Design.
• Should take complete ownership of modules assigned and work with minimal supervision should report progress/ status on periodic basis.
• Should be willing to learn new industry standard frameworks and implement them in solution as required.
• Provide SIT/UAT support.
• Coordinate with production support teams for production release.
• Experience on ReactJS / AngularJS will be added advantage
