Senior Java Developer Backend

Location: Gurugram
Work Mode: Hybrid - 3 days a week from office

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable enterprise applications, building high-performance backend services, and contributing to system architecture and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applications and Microservices.
• Develop robust and secure RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Work with Core Java, OOPS, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Collections, Concurrency, and Multithreading.
• Design and implement distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Work with asynchronous messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, RabbitMQ, or similar tools.
• Develop and deploy applications on AWS/cloud platforms.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure application reliability.
• Work with SQL databases and optimize application/database performance.
• Implement authentication and authorization using technologies such as JWT/Auth.
• Work with Redis, caching frameworks, and application monitoring tools.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system design activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 6 years of hands-on Java enterprise application development.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, OOPS, Data Structures, and Design Patterns.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+, Collections, Concurrency, and Multithreading.
• Experience developing REST APIs and event-driven Microservices.
• Strong understanding of System Design and Distributed Systems.
• Good knowledge of SQL and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AWS is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and production support.
• Experience with Kafka, AWS SQS, RabbitMQ, or other asynchronous communication technologies.
• Knowledge of Redis, JWT/Auth, caching, and application monitoring.

Good to Have

• Experience with Tomcat / JBoss or other enterprise application servers.
• Experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor.
