Job summary

Luxoft India is seeking an experienced Java professional to maintain and advance large-scale enterprise applications in a production setting. You will troubleshoot complex issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliable deployments across environments.

The role requires strong expertise in Java, Hibernate, SQL, and multithreading, with exposure to cloud transformation and DevOps practices. You will mentor peers and contribute to engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of software development experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong Java development experience with deep understanding of multithreading, collections, concurrency, and performance optimisation
• Advanced SQL skills with experience working on complex data models and production systems
• Proven, hands-on Hibernate expertise, including design, troubleshooting, performance tuning and real-world implementation
• Ability to independently analyse, maintain and enhance existing legacy applications and codebases
• Extensive experience working on large, business-critical enterprise applications
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex distributed systems
• Experience onboarding into existing applications and becoming productive with minimal ramp-up time
• Hands-on experience with application deployment processes and environment management
• Familiarity with access management, operational processes, and production support activities
• Ability to understand and navigate legacy code and architecture without extensive documentation
• Demonstrated track record of delivering in mature environments where understanding the existing estate is as important as developing new functionality
• Knowledge of containerisation and modernisation initiatives is a plus
