Persistent is seeking a Senior Java Developer AI/ML with 7+ years of experience to design, build, and scale enterprise applications. The role emphasizes AI-enabled features, cloud-native architectures on AWS, RESTful microservices, and collaboration with data scientists and product teams.

Ideal candidates will have deep Java expertise (Java 8/11/17), Spring, Microservices, CI/CD, and strong knowledge of AI/ML tools and frameworks.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Java application development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and modern backend frameworks.
• Build and integrate AI/ML-powered solutions into enterprise applications and business products.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver innovative tech solutions.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
• Build cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services and modern deployment architectures.
• Develop AI-enabled features such as intelligent automation, recommendation engines, predictive analytics, NLP solutions, and Generative AI integrations.
• Design and optimize data pipelines to support machine learning workflows and AI applications.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, and code review processes.
• Develop highly scalable and reliable distributed systems using industry best practices.
• Ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with AI/ML teams to deploy, monitor, and optimize models.
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery activities.
• Research emerging AI/ML technologies and trends.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, LangChain, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience integrating AI services and AI models through APIs and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, Embedding Models, and AI Agents.
• Understanding of MLOps practices, model lifecycle management, monitoring, and governance.
• Experience developing AI-driven business applications and intelligent automation solutions.
• Ability to evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative implementations.
