Job summary

Kiya.ai is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Chennai with 9–13 years of backend experience. The role focuses on Java 11–21, Spring Boot, and database work with Oracle or PostgreSQL, while frontend is a secondary skill, and collaboration with external vendors is part of delivery.

The position requires hands-on backend development, adherence to Scrum ceremonies, and delivering high-quality technical specifications across key projects in a bank tech environment.

Qualifications

• 9–13 years of backend Java experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, JPA, and batch processing.
• Knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with Angular is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, discuss, and document solution architecture with leads and architects.
• Backend development primary, frontend development as secondary skill.
• Perform quality unit and integration tests (TDD/BDT preferred).
• Engage with external vendor consultancy development and delivery teams for product implementation.
• Assist test team in performance & endurance testing.
• Write technical specifications.
• Propose technical solutions after analyzing options.
• Prepare technical deliveries and support implementation by integration teams.
• Contribute to key and strategic projects.
• Follow Scrum agile ceremonies with discipline and responsibility.
