Job summary

Mivada, a hybrid-model technology consultancy, seeks an experienced Network and Security Administrator in Hyderabad to manage and secure our hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will oversee AD, Intune, firewall/VPN, and multi-cloud security while ensuring policy compliance and incident response across global teams.

You should have 6+ years in network and cybersecurity, strong English communication, and relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/cloud).
• Oversee Active Directory configurations, access, authentication.
• Manage Intune for device management and security policies.
• Maintain an accurate asset inventory and security compliance.
• Monitor network traffic and implement security controls.
• Configure firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analyses.
• Develop and enforce network security policies.
• Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
• Document configurations, protocols, and incidents.
• Coordinate with Australia-based report and global teams.
• Manage multi-cloud security (Azure, AWS) and assessments.
• Support security questionnaires, tenders, and audits.
• Assist with ISO/IEC 27001:2022, SOC 2, ACSC Essential Eight compliance.
• Evaluate MDR/SIEM/SOC tools (e.g., CrowdStrike) and log integration.
• Run penetration testing programs across network and SaaS.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network and Security Administrator with a minimum of 5 years in the field to manage and secure our company’s network, technical assets and user access.
The successful candidate must possess strong English communication skills, as they will collaborate with both local and international teams to maintain secure, high-performing network infrastructure and protect sensitive company data.

• Network Management: Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and cloud environments, to ensure reliable performance.
• Active Directory Administration: Oversee Active Directory configurations, user access, and authentication protocols to maintain security.
• Intune and Device Management: Manage Intune for mobile device management, implementing policies to secure company devices.
• Asset Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of all technical assets, ensuring tracking, documentation, and security compliance.
• Security Monitoring: Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, implementing security measures to prevent unauthorised access.
• Firewall and VPN Administration: Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances to secure data access.
• Incident Response: Lead response efforts for network security incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures.
• Policy Development: Develop and enforce network security policies and compliance measures.
• Cybersecurity Training: Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices to reduce insider threats.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, security protocols, and incident responses.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with the part-time direct report in Australia, ensuring seamless security management and operational support across time zones.
• Multi-Cloud Security: Set up, harden and continuously manage our multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS), running regular security assessments and remediating findings against cloud security benchmarks.
• Security Questionnaires: Provide information security and network security input into client security questionnaires, tender responses and due-diligence reviews, working with Sales and Delivery to turn these around accurately and on time.
• Compliance and Certification: Support and maintain compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022, SOC 2 and the ACSC Essential Eight (Maturity Level 2) at both the organisational level and for our SaaS product, including evidence collection, control testing and audit readiness.
• MDR, SIEM and SOC Enablement: Evaluate, onboard and manage managed detection and response, SIEM and SOC capabilities (e.g. CrowdStrike), including log source integration, alert tuning and escalation workflows.
• Penetration Testing: Establish and run the penetration testing program across network infrastructure and our SaaS solution, including scoping, vendor management, remediation tracking and retesting.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in network and cybersecurity roles, including Active Directory, Intune, and technical asset management.
• Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills for interacting with global teams and stakeholders.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP, are a plus.
