Job summary

Mivada in Hyderabad, India, seeks a seasoned Technical Lead with Java full-stack expertise and cloud fluency (AWS or Azure). You will guide a high-performing team, mentor engineers, and partner with onshore stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade solutions while exploring Generative AI patterns and LLM API integrations.

You will own technical delivery, shape architecture, ensure CI/CD and code quality, and foster growth within the team.

Job description

We seek a seasoned Technical Lead with deep expertise in Java development, full-stack engineering, and cloud technologies (AWS or Azure), along with an evolving interest in AI-driven architectures. The ideal candidate will bring strong people management and mentoring capabilities, the ability to guide junior engineers toward the right technical solutions, and excellent communication skills to work closely with onshore clients and stakeholders. Beyond technical delivery, this role calls for someone who can take ownership of a team's growth and output, while demonstrating curiosity and learning aptitude in Generative AI, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and LLM API integrations. This role is suited for someone passionate about building scalable enterprise solutions while preparing teams to embrace agentic AI patterns and next-generation architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of enterprise-level full-stack applications.
• Architect, design, and develop solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue.js (full-stack ownership is an advantage).
• Deploy and manage applications in AWS or Azure environments, with hands-on exposure to cloud services (e.g., EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, S3, RDS) considered a strong plus.
• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, helping them arrive at the right technical solutions and grow their skills.
• Own people management responsibilities for the team, including performance inputs, career development conversations, and day-to-day team support.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for onshore clients and stakeholders, communicating project status, risks, and solution options clearly and confidently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, QA, DevOps, UX/UI, and emerging AI capability teams.
• Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, unit testing, CI/CD automation, and agile development methodologies.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and well-documented.
• Provide L2 and L3 support for internally developed applications, ensuring timely issue resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.
• Encourage experimentation and adoption of AI-powered patterns (RAG pipelines, LLM-based workflows, agent orchestration).
• Support exploration of LLM API call best practices (prompt design, token optimization, security/compliance).

Requirements

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in software development with Java.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring development teams, including guiding junior resources toward appropriate technical solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in a technical leadership or people management role.
• Full-stack development experience (JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Express) is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on exposure or solutioning experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
• Proficient with both SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and API security (OAuth2, JWT).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and clearly with onshore clients and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of the ITIL framework, with hands-on experience as part of L2 and L3 support teams.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working in an onshore-offshore delivery model.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure.
• Exposure to Generative AI, RAG, or LLM API integrations.
• Strong communication skills with proven experience engaging and collaborating with international clients.
