Job summary

bijlipay is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Administrator to manage Windows and Linux servers, both physical and virtualized, in a Chennai data center. The role covers DR, network, and firewall support, including FortiGate, VPN, and cloud services.

You will coordinate with ISPs, DCs, OEMs, MSPs, and vendors to resolve incidents, participate in 24x7 production support, and ensure regulatory/compliance alignment. This position requires strong ITIL and security posture, with on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of data center operations, DR infrastructure, and capacity planning.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPN, LAN/WAN, and network connectivity.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) including EC2, VPC, security groups.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows and Linux servers, physical and virtualized environments.
• Support Data Center and DR infrastructure, including servers, storage, backup, UPS, and facilities coordination.
• Administer and troubleshoot Firewalls, VPN, LAN/WAN, Internet, MPLS, and connectivity.
• Support FortiGate or equivalent enterprise firewall environments; manage policies, NAT, VPN, HA, troubleshooting.
• Manage VMware / Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Support AWS / Cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPC, security groups, networking).
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, capacity, and security events.
• Coordinate with ISPs, Data Center providers, OEMs, MSPs, and vendors for incident resolution.
• Handle P1/P2 incidents, problem management, RCA, and preventive actions with minimum business impact.
• Support DR activities, BCP, DR drills, failover/failback testing, and infrastructure readiness.
• Manage Colocation third-party DC/DR.
• Change management processes and maintain infrastructure docs.

• Support IT security, vulnerability remediation, hardening, patch management, antivirus/EDR, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with application, database, security, compliance, and operations teams for production issues.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL, information security, RBI, PCI-DSS, and other applicable regulatory/compliance requirements.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call / production support as required.
