Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to administer and advance our data center network. You will handle routing, switching, security devices, F5 load balancers, and IPAM while maintaining high availability and performance.

You will lead a team of network engineers, manage incidents and change processes, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions. Strong communication and documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, DNS and DHCP technologies.
• Good knowledge of Firewalls like Cisco Fire Power (FTD) and Palo Alto.
• Strong knowledge of F5 Load balancer (LTM).
• Understanding of Cisco Nexus family (Nexus 7K, 9K, 3K).
• Design, implement and maintain network security processes to cover threats.
• Basic knowledge on DDoS, AWAF & BOT profile.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like NNMi, SolarWinds, Kibana Elastic Search, PRTG & IPAM.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including hotfixes and security configs.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
• Strong ticketing skills with Jira & ServiceNow for Incident, Change, Problem, RCA.
• Lead and mentor network engineers and manage projects, budgets, and vendors.
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders and ensure SLA adherence.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise data center network infrastructure with high availability and security.
• Manage and maintain F5 solutions including AWAF, iRules, Bot Protection profiles.
• Configure and troubleshoot IPAM solutions.
• Monitor and optimize data center network traffic for performance.
• Perform advanced (L3) troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Implement and maintain network security best practices per standards.
• Oversee daily operations, patching, and lifecycle management of devices.
• Plan, design and execute network changes for apps and hardware onboarding.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployments, upgrades and migrations.
• Engage customers with technical updates and improvement recommendations.
• Ensure SLA commitments by proactively resolving incidents.

• Manage daily operations, maintenance, patching, and lifecycle management of network devices.
• Plan, design, and execute network configuration changes required for application and hardware onboarding.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
• Engage directly with customers and stakeholders, providing technical consultation, incident updates, and service improvement recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to SLA commitments by proactively resolving incidents and minimizing service disruptions.
• Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, and operational runbooks for network changes and support activities.
