Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in India seeks a Senior IT Compliance Analyst SOX to provide SOX 404 ITGC expertise and oversight. The role collaborates with IT management, internal and external audit to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and remediated to meet audit expectations and business goals.

This position is fully remote from India and requires working UK hours; travel up to 10% may be needed for US/international activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of IT Audit/Controls experience in regulated environments.
• CISA or equivalent certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document IT General Controls (ITGC) and AI controls for the SOX 404 program.
• Ensure effective control design, implementation, and testing procedures.
• Identify and remediate control gaps and deficiencies; monitor timely resolution.
• Research and recommend tools/technologies to support controls.
• Collaborate with Internal/External Audit on SOX and IT audits, planning and oversight.

As a Senior IT Compliance Analyst SOX, you will provide Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) Section 404 subject matter expertise to ensure appropriate processes, procedures, and controls are adequately designed, implemented, or remediated to meet audit and compliance expectations, operating efficiency goals, and other business objectives in collaboration with IT Management, Internal, and External Audit, and Internal Control, on all initiatives associated with SOX 404 IT General Control (ITGC) compliance.

This position is fully remote and will work from home office located in India.

Must be able to work UK hours.

Travel may be required at 10% (US/International).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assess and document all IT General Controls (ITGC) and AI controls related to the SOX 404 program as part of ongoing compliance efforts for the Company's EU/US entities and any other assigned areas.
• Ensure effective and efficient control design, implementation, and testing procedures
• Identify and evaluate internal control gaps and deficiencies and propose remediation strategies including monitoring and reporting timely resolution.
• Research and recommend supporting tools and technologies to support or improve controls
• Work directly with Internal Control, Internal Audit, and External Audit on SOX and IT internal audit-related activities including planning and oversight of IT internal audits, walkthroughs, testing, documentation of findings, issue remediation, follow-up, etc.
• Work directly with IT process and control owners to provide support, education, and recommendations for strengthening the IT control environment.
• Supporting both our UK & US - SOX - IT Compliance process.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./8.S.) or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years professional experience in IT Audit and/or Controls Assurance, Finance, or IT SOX compliance. Must have technology risk management & audit SOX compliance experience in a highly regulated industry.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Certification/Licensure: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or equivalent professional certification (e.g., CRISC, CSOXP, CSOXM) desired
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, deliverables, and stakeholders
