Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited seeks an experienced Senior IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM) Engineer to design, implement, and support identity governance solutions using ISIM and IBM Security Verify Governance. This role automates identity lifecycle management and provisioning across enterprise environments in Pune.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years in IAM/IGA or cybersecurity engineering, hands-on ISIM/Verify Governance expertise, and experience integrating with AD/LDAP, cloud apps, and HR

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of IAM/IGA or cybersecurity engineering experience.
• Hands-on with ISIM or IBM Security Verify Governance.
• Experience with identity lifecycle management and provisioning.
• Experience integrating ISIM with AD/LDAP/HR systems.
• Familiar with SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS controls.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering.
• Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support ISIM and Verify Governance solutions.
• Configure identities, provisioning policies, roles, workflows, and access governance controls.
• Implement Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes and automate identity lifecycle management activities.
• Develop provisioning adapters and integrations with AD, LDAP, cloud platforms, and HR systems.
• Create and enhance workflows, business rules, approval processes, scripts, and custom provisioning logic.
• Manage reconciliation, entitlement management, and account governance controls.
• Troubleshoot provisioning failures, reconciliation issues, workflow errors, and platform incidents.
• Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and security stakeholders to onboard new applications.
• Support access certifications, segregation of duties, policy enforcement, and audit requirements.
• Perform platform upgrades, patch management, performance optimization, and environment maintenance.
• Develop technical documentation, runbooks, and implementation guides.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and production transition activities.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance stability and automation.

This role is responsible for automating identity lifecycle management, provisioning, access governance, and compliance controls across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with security, infrastructure, application, and business teams to deliver scalable identity management solutions that enhance security, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

ExpertiseYou'llBring:

• 8-12 years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), or Cybersecurity Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM), IBM Security Verify Governance, or related IBM Identity solutions.
• Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, reconciliation, role management, and governance processes.
• Experience designing and implementing Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) workflows and automated identity management solutions.
• Strong expertise in configuring provisioning adapters, services, workflows, policies, and identity governance controls.
• Experience integrating ISIM with Active Directory, LDAP directories, databases, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and HR systems.
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, access governance, and entitlement management concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting complex provisioning, reconciliation, workflow, and application onboarding issues.
• Familiarity with compliance and governance frameworks including SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and access certification requirements.
• Experience with application onboarding, connector development, and custom integration implementations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership for IAM initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• IBM Security Verify Governance, IBM Security Identity Manager, CISSP, CISM, or related security certifications are advantageous.
