Job summary

Aparna Kaushik Design Group is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead concept development for ultra-luxury residential interiors. The role requires a strong eye for detail, expert space planning, and the ability to translate architectural references into working design solutions.

You will guide junior designers, coordinate with project managers and 3D visualisers, and contribute to concept, schematic and detailed design development for high-end estates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design from a reputable college.
• 5–10 years of interior design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop.
• Experience on luxury residential buildings and hospitality projects.
• Strong communication and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Exceptional aesthetic sense and visual judgment.
• Mature space planning and layout resolution.
• Understanding of scale, proportion and furniture placement.
• Ability to understand classical, modern-classical and contemporary design languages.
• Ability to find references appropriate to the actual architecture, proportions and dimensions of a room.
• Ability to translate references into an original and workable design.
• Experience developing concept, schematic and detailed design-development boards.
• Strong furniture, lighting, flooring, ceiling, cornice, fabric, carpet and material selection.
• Ability to take a design from initial concept through to an approved 3D.
• Ability to guide junior designers and coordinate with project managers, 3D visualisers and technical-drawing teams.
• A stable, collaborative and non-defensive working temperament.
