Job summary

Lumera Homes is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead our core design and production drawing unit in Vijayawada. You will translate client requirements into high-end spatial concepts, manage project workflows, and guide junior designers from 3D renders to site handovers.

You will work with the BDM on client pitches and coordinate with Site Engineers to ensure zero discrepancies between designs and on-site execution. The role demands creative leadership and precise detailing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Diploma from a recognized institute.
• 4–8 years of proven experience designing high-end residential or commercial turnkey interiors.
• Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max / V-Ray, Photoshop, and MS Office.
• Deep understanding of modular joinery, hardware, false ceiling details, lighting design, and BOQs.
• Fluent in English and Telugu for client meetings and site coordination.
• Strong aesthetic sense, spatial visualization, and client-handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design conceptualization and spatial planning for luxury projects.
• Collaborate with BD during pitches and present 3D renders and material boards.
• Prepare accurate 2D working drawings, electrical/plumbing marks, and production layouts.
• Mentor juniors, ensure drawing accuracy, and maintain design standards.
• Conduct site visits, verify measurements, and specify hardware and finishes.
• Track milestones in CRM from 2D/3D sign-offs to site handovers.

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Senior Interior Designer to lead our core design and production drawing unit. In this role, you will be responsible for translating client requirements into high-end spatial concepts, managing project design workflows, leading junior designers/visualizers, and ensuring design fidelity from initial 3D renders to final site execution.

You will work closely with our Business Development Manager (BDM) during client pitches and partner directly with our Site Engineers to ensure zero discrepancy between approved designs and site handovers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development & Spatial Planning: Lead end-to-end design conceptualization for luxury residential and commercial projects. Create functional floor layouts, mood boards, material selections, ceiling designs, lighting schemes, and detailed 3D concepts.
• Client Presentations & Pitching: Partner with the BDM during experience center walk-throughs. Present 3D renders, material boards, and hardware options to prospective clients, incorporating feedback into final sign-offs.
• Technical Working Drawings (2D CAD & Production): Prepare accurate 2D working drawings, including electrical plans, plumbing markups, false ceiling layouts, sectional elevations, and cut-list specifications for modular fabrication.
• Team Leadership & Quality Control: Mentor, guide, and review the output of junior designers, 3D visualizers, and CAD draftsmen. Maintain design standards and drawing accuracy across all active projects.
• Site Coordination & Material Specs: Conduct regular site visits to verify measurements, review execution progress with Site Managers, and resolve on-site design queries. Specify exact hardware (Hettich, Blum, Ebco), surface finishes (Acrylic, PU, Laminate), and BOQ estimates.
• CRM & Design Milestone Tracking: Maintain data and drawing sign-offs within our CRM system to track project phases from 2D freeze and 3D approval to site handover.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in Interior Design (B.Des), B.Arch, or Diploma in Interior Design from a recognized institute.
• Experience: 4 to 8 years of proven experience designing high-end residential apartments, villas, or commercial turnkey interiors.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max / V-Ray (or Corona), Photoshop, and MS Office. Experience working with CRM platforms is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modular joinery, hardware mechanisms, false ceiling details, lighting design, and material costing (BOQs).
• Languages: Fluency in English and Telugu is essential for client meetings and site contractor coordination.
• Soft Skills: Excellent aesthetic sense, spatial visualization, team management skills, and strong client-handling abilities.
