Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP and its global network seek a skilled Enterprise Applications Specialist to manage and optimize our enterprise SaaS platforms across the organization in Bengaluru. You will oversee governance, security, licensing, and lifecycle management for critical applications.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams to drive integration, adoption of new features, and cost-effective licensing strategies, ensuring compliance and high availability across platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, information systems, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience managing enterprise applications, SaaS, or application operations.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, license compliance, and optimization strategies.
  • Experience evaluating software solutions, conducting POCs, and supporting technology selection.
  • Experience implementing application governance, access management, and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of application integrations, platform administration, and operational support.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise platforms like Azure, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, GitHub, SharePoint Online, Boomi, and Atlassian Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration and operational support of enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and internally developed apps, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Oversee lifecycle management including onboarding, upgrades, maintenance, and retirement; lead transitions and readiness for new solutions.
  • Establish governance standards, policies and procedures for enterprise apps including access, security, provisioning, and RBAC.
  • Ensure regulatory and security compliance; maintain documentation and procedures.
  • Manage software licensing across enterprise and SaaS apps; optimize licenses to reduce costs.
  • Identify opportunities for consolidation and cost savings with procurement during renewals and negotiations.
  • Evaluate new solutions, conduct POCs, pilots, and technology assessments; drive adoption of new features.

Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Manage the administration and operational support of enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and internally developed applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee application lifecycle management, including onboarding, upgrades, maintenance, enhancements, and retirement, and lead application transitions, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness for new solutions.
  • Establish and maintain governance standards, policies, and operational procedures for enterprise applications, including access management, security controls, user provisioning, and role-based permissions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security, audit, and regulatory requirements, and maintain application documentation, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Manage software licensing across enterprise and SaaS applications, monitor license utilization, and optimize license allocation to reduce costs.
  • Identify opportunities for software consolidation, contract optimization, and cost savings, partnering with Vendor Management and Procurement during license renewals and contract negotiations.
  • Evaluate new software solutions based on business requirements and technical capabilities, and conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs), pilot programs, and technology assessments.
  • Assess product roadmaps, upcoming features, and vendor capabilities, and recommend new technologies and platform enhancements that improve productivity and business outcomes.
  • Drive adoption of new features across supported platforms and collaborate with business and technical teams to integrate enterprise applications.
  • Support API integrations, automation initiatives, and workflow improvements, ensuring applications integrate effectively within the organization’s technology ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the organization’s application strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand application requirements and identify improvement opportunities, serving as the primary point of contact for application-related operational issues and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application performance, governance, security, and user experience, and monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Develop metrics and reporting to measure application adoption, utilization, performance, and business value.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience managing enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or application operations, including governance, administration, and operational support.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, license compliance, and optimization strategies.
  • Experience evaluating software solutions, conducting Proof of Concepts (POCs), and supporting technology selection.
  • Experience implementing application governance, access management, and security best practices.
  • Knowledge of application integrations, platform administration, and operational support.
  • Hands-on experience administering or supporting enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visual Studio, GitHub, SharePoint Online, boomi.com, Atlassian Suite and other enterprise SaaS or internally developed business platforms preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • ITIL knowledge is a plus.
