Job summary

ABC Fruits in Chennai district, Tamil Nadu, seeks a seasoned commodity sales/sourcing leader to develop and manage sourcing and sales of fruit pulps, purees, concentrates, and IQF fruits and vegetables.

The role involves identifying suppliers and buyers worldwide, monitoring market prices, leading price negotiations, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure smooth order execution and profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing and trading of fruit pulp, puree, concentrates, IQF fruits & vegetables.
• Strong negotiation and contracting skills with suppliers and buyers.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including procurement, production, quality, logistics and finance.
• Excellent reporting, market analysis and margin optimization skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers for long-term partnerships.

• Develop and manage the sourcing and sales of fruit pulp, puree, concentrates, IQF fruits & vegetables, and other food commodities.
• Identify and develop new domestic and international suppliers, buyers, distributors, and trading partners.
• Monitor global commodity prices, market trends, demand, supply, and competitor activities.
• Lead price negotiations, contracts, payment terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers and customers.
• Develop and implement commodity trading strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Manage the complete order cycle from enquiry and quotation to order confirmation, shipment, delivery, and payment collection.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, quality, logistics, finance, and export teams for smooth order execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers and ensure long-term business partnerships.
• Analyze margins, costing, market prices, and profitability before finalizing transactions.
• Identify new markets and business opportunities for the company's commodity portfolio.
• Represent ABC Fruits at international trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
• Prepare regular reports on sales, purchases, market trends, commodity prices, margins, and business performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable import/export regulations.
• Lead and guide the commodity sales/sourcing team to achieve business targets.
