Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer specializing in the Ignition platform to lead architecture, development, and platform engineering initiatives across industrial environments.

You will mentor teams, design robust gateway architectures, and implement end-to-end SCADA solutions using Ignition Vision and Perspective, OPC UA, MQTT, Kepware, and Python/Java.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of total experience with 4+ years in Ignition SCADA.
• Deep Ignition expertise including Vision, Perspective, and gateway architecture.
• Strong industrial automation knowledge: PLCs, ISA 88/95, OPC UA, MQTT, Kepware.
• Full-stack development experience with Python/Java and API-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and development of SCADA solutions using Ignition.
• Build and optimize applications with Ignition Vision and Perspective for scale, performance, and security.
• Define robust gateway architectures, tag structures, UDTs, and scripting standards.
• Integrate SCADA with PLCs and industrial systems using OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug B, Kepware, and standard protocols.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams.
• Design and implement backend and full-stack solutions using Python/Java and API integrations.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SCADA Engineer with deep expertise in the Ignition platform to lead architecture, development, and platform engineering initiatives. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can drive scalable SCADA solutions, mentor teams, and ensure robust, production-grade implementations across industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and development of SCADA solutions using the Ignition platform.
• Build and optimize applications using Ignition modules (Vision, Perspective) with focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Define and implement robust gateway architectures, tag structures, UDTs, and scripting standards.
• Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs and industrial systems using OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug B, Kepware, and standard protocols.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams.
• Design and implement backend and full-stack solutions using Python/Java and API integrations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 6–9 years of total experience with at least 4+ years of hands-on work in Ignition SCADA.
• Deep expertise in Ignition (Vision, Perspective, gateway architecture, scripting, security, performance tuning).
