Position Name : Senior High Performance Compute (HPC) Verification & Validation Engineer
General Information:
The performance of the applied software testing strategy is analyzed and continuously improved to ensure competitiveness of SAG's embedded software development. The Target of this role is to ensure a highly effective and efficient testing approach that maximizes reuse, automation and virtualization in both development and testing processes. A well-aligned software testing strategy that leverages advanced test methods (e.g. Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing), environments (including cloud-based) and tools is provided for achieving costeffective software development. This role serves as a key enabler for maintaining a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving automotive software landscape.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Analysis & Test Strategy definition
- Test Planning & Test Architecture definition
- Automation & CI/CT Integration
- Usage of Simulation & Virtual Validation tools where applicable
- Definition and Execution of Model, HiL and Vehicle Level testing
- Consider Functional Safety & Cybersecurity in V&V activities
- Training of Developers, Test Engineers
- Drive continuous improvements in V&V methodologies
Your Qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant field (computer science, electronics and communication, information science), masters degree desired.
- 8 to 14 years experience in Automotive Software technology and experience in international Software projects with global OEM’s, ideally including projects touching ADAS and/or IVI environments and their interfaces to vehicle control functions.
- Working experience with virtualization and simulation frameworks used in automotive HPC algorithm validation is an added value
- Deep knowledge of software test management and engineering related tooling
- Deep knowledge of applied software development, integration and testing workflow (e.g. model-based vs. handwritten code)
- Holistic overview on software tests, test environments and test automation related tooling
- General knowledge about software metrics and related KPIs to ensure an efficient and effective test strategy
- General knowledge about CI/CT, AI- and cloud solutions for software testing
- General overview of the testing approaches of other disciplines along the V-Cycle
- Awareness of safety-critical systems and safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Stress, performance, and workload-based validation of compute platforms—aligned with general HPC V&V practices.
- Ability to simulate HPC compute loads and vehicle environments in model-based validation frameworks.
- Creating rigorous test plans and executing validation activities for complex electronic systems.
- Manual and automated validation methods, regression testing, and system performance analysis.
- Ensuring traceability to requirements and adherence to automotive compliance.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python to automate tests and analyze HPC behavior.
