Job summary

Embitel Technologies seeks a hardware engineer specializing in automotive power electronics. You will develop schematics, BOMs and lead prototype assembly, debugging power-stage circuits and performing HV/EMI considerations for robust electronic power modules.

Responsibilities include validation, testing, DFMEA support and cross‑functional coordination with PCB vendors and validation teams to deliver reliable hardware designs.

Qualifications

• Experience in power electronics and automotive hardware development.
• Hands‑on experience with DC‑DC converters or power converter circuits.
• Understanding of MOSFET/IGBT/SiC devices, gate drivers and power‑stage circuits.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design/review.
• Hands‑on hardware debugging and laboratory testing experience.
• Understanding of voltage/current sensing and protection circuits.
• Basic understanding of HV creepage, clearance, insulation and thermal management.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC fundamentals.

• Participate in prototype assembly and hardware bring-up.
• Debug power-stage, gate-drive, sensing and protection circuits using test equipment.
• Perform electrical measurements including voltage, current, efficiency, ripple and thermal performance.
• Support validation testing and preparation of DVP&R/test reports.
• Assist EMI/EMC testing and troubleshooting; support DFMEA and design reviews.
• Coordinate with PCB vendors, component suppliers, and validation teams.

Job Description

Support DC-DC converter circuit and power-stage design. Perform component selection and calculations for power semiconductors, gate drivers, capacitors, magnetics, sensing and protection circuits. Develop and maintain schematics and BOMs. Support PCB layout activities with focus on HV creepage and clearance, High-current routing, Grounding, Thermal paths, EMI/EMC considerations.

Participate in prototype assembly and hardware bring-up. Debug power-stage, gate-drive, sensing and protection circuits using oscilloscopes, DMMs, electronic loads and current probes. Perform electrical measurements including voltage, current, efficiency, ripple and thermal performance.

Support validation testing and preparation of DVP&R / test reports. Support EMI/EMC testing and troubleshooting. Analyse failures and support root-cause identification and corrective actions. Support DFMEA, design reviews and engineering change activities. Coordinate with PCB vendors, component suppliers, manufacturing and validation teams. Maintain hardware design documentation and test reports.

Experience

• Experience in power electronics / automotive hardware development.
• Hands‑on experience with DC-DC converters or power converter circuits.
• Understanding of MOSFET/IGBT/SiC devices, gate drivers and power‑stage circuits.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design/review.
• Hands‑on hardware debugging and laboratory testing experience.
• Understanding of voltage/current sensing and protection circuits.
• Basic understanding of HV creepage, clearance, insulation and thermal management.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC fundamentals.
