Job summary

Gaurs is seeking an experienced General Manager of Collections in the real estate sector to lead and manage the organization’s collections function. You will drive timely collections, manage a large team, and coordinate with NBFCs and banks to resolve payment-related issues.

You will oversee end-to-end collections across multiple real estate projects, develop strategies to hit monthly and annual targets, monitor ageing and recovery performance, and present MIS and dashboards to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12–18 years of relevant experience in real estate collections.
• Experience in handling a large collections team.
• Proven track record of achieving collection/recovery targets.
• Strong experience in dealing with banks, NBFCs and financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end collections function across real estate projects.

• Prepare MIS, dashboards, ageing reports and recovery forecasts for senior management.
• Identify high-risk accounts and drive focused recovery actions.
• Handle escalated customer cases and ensure timely resolution.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced GM Collections from the Real Estate industry to lead and manage the organizations collections function. The role will be responsible for driving timely collections, managing a large collections team, coordinating with NBFCs and banks, and ensuring effective resolution of customer/payment-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end collections function across real estate projects.
• Develop and implement collection strategies to achieve monthly and annual collection targets.
• Monitor customer outstanding, ageing, overdue payments and recovery performance.
• Drive timely collection of customer dues, including demand notes, instalments, interest, penalties and other receivables.
• Manage and mentor the collection team, including target setting, performance monitoring and productivity improvement.
• Coordinate closely with NBFCs, banks and financial institutions for customer loan processing, disbursement and payment-related matters.
• Establish strong coordination with banking/NBFC partners to ensure timely loan sanctions and disbursements.
• Resolve issues related to loan disbursement, documentation, customer eligibility and payment delays.
• Work closely with Sales, CRM, Finance, Legal and Project teams to resolve collection-related bottlenecks.
• Prepare and present MIS, collection dashboards, ageing reports and recovery forecasts to senior management.
• Identify high-risk/high-value outstanding accounts and drive focused recovery actions.
• Handle escalated customer cases and ensure timely resolution of payment-related concerns.
• Develop processes and controls to reduce outstanding and improve collection efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, collection processes and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular performance reviews of the collection team and take corrective actions wherever required.

Candidate Profile

• Mandatory: Real Estate industry background only.

• Candidates currently working with reputed real estate developers will be preferred.
