Evoke HR Solutions Pvt. Ltd. invites an experienced Senior Functional Safety Engineer for a walk-in drive in Chennai. The role focuses on automotive functional safety, ISO 26262, and safety analyses for embedded systems.

The candidate will drive FS activities, develop FSC/TSC, perform HARA, derive safety requirements, and collaborate with system, hardware, and software teams to deliver safety-critical ECU solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Automotive Functional Safety background and ISO 26262 experience.
• Proven ability to perform HARA and ASIL determination.
• Experience deriving and allocating safety requirements for E/E systems.
• Experience with FSC and TSC development and safety case work products.
• Knowledge of FMEA/FTA/FMEDA/ DFA workflows for safety analyses.

Responsibilities

• Drive and manage Functional Safety activities across the product development lifecycle per ISO 26262.
• Develop and maintain Functional Safety Management Plans and processes for automotive E/E systems.
• Lead Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments to identify safety goals and ASILs.
• Define Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).
• Derive and allocate functional/technical safety requirements to systems and software architectures.

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Senior Functional Safety Engineer for our client in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Automotive Functional Safety, ISO 26262, safety analysis, and automotive embedded systems development.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Functional Safety activities throughout the automotive product development lifecycle as per ISO 26262.
• Develop and maintain Functional Safety Management Plans and processes for automotive E/E systems.
• Perform Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), define Safety Goals, and determine ASIL levels.
• Develop Functional Safety Concepts (FSC) and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC).
• Derive and allocate functional and technical safety requirements.
• Perform FMEA, DFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and Dependent Failure Analysis (DFA).
• Collaborate with system, hardware, software, and testing teams.
• Support safety verification, validation, and safety assessments.
• Prepare and maintain ISO 26262 work products and safety cases.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ISO 26262 standards and safety requirements.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Automotive Functional Safety (FuSa).
• Hands-on experience with ISO 26262 Parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9.
• Proven experience in HARA and ASIL determination.
• Experience in FSC, TSC, and safety requirement derivation.
• Strong knowledge of FTA, DFMEA, FMEA, FMEDA, and DFA.
• Experience developing ISO 26262 work products.
• Automotive Embedded Software and safety-critical ECU experience.
• Experience with Medini and knowledge of MagicDraw.

Good to Have

• SysML and MBSE knowledge.
• Functional Safety validation using hardware or virtual platforms.

Must have

• Proven experience working with ISO26262 Part 2, 3 & 4 development.
