Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong Python and React experience to design, build and deploy scalable web solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust software, and mentor junior developers while upholding high quality standards.

The role requires hands-on development across the stack, API design, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in full stack software development.
• Strong backend development in Python and frontend in React with TypeScript.
• Excellent understanding of REST API design and hands-on with FastAPI/Flask.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in ideation, design, development and deployment of web solutions.
• Design and deploy POCs and upscaled projects across industry verticals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into cloud environments (Azure).
• Mentor junior team members and promote standard SDLC practices.
• Contribute to architecture and design discussions for scalable systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Activelyparticipateinideation, design, development, and deployment ofweb solutions, aligned with businessobjectives.

Design and deploy Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Points of View (POVs) across various industry verticals,upscale the POCs tomid-scaletop enterpriselevel applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate POC andupscaled solutions into cloud environments (Azure).

Technicallyleading,Mentoring and supporting junior team members in the working team.

Embedding the standard software development lifecycle practices in the team and wider in the community and practice.

Requirements and Specifications:

Candidateshouldhave6+years ofrelevantexperience withfull stack software development skills with backend development in Python and frontend development in ReactwithTypescript.

Hands on withwriting automation tests, code quality, code scanning,peer Programming/Code Reviews.

Excellent understanding in and experience in REST API designing and hand-on experience on usingFastAPI, Flask etc.

Experience in Python testing frameworksincluding frontendtesting frameworkslike playwright and vitest

Deployment knowledgeonCloudplatforms: Azure(preferred)orAWSorGoogle

Knowledge ofcontainerised solutionsand CI/CD pipelines

Understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts, Multithreading/Multiprocessing, Memory Management etc.

Able to designappropriatedatastructures,apply efficientalgorithms

Excellent hands on with Databases(PostgreSQL/MSSQL etc); Good atwritingcomplexSQLqueriesand procedural programming (TSQL)

ORM Frameworks: SQL Alchemy/ any ORM libraries (Object Relational Mapper)

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills (Client side, Server side, Database).

Understanding and designing high level design/low level design architectures for software systems.

Sourcecodeversionmanagement systems like Git (preferred), SVN, Mercury etc.

Strong understanding of software engineering principles and fundamentals including data structures and algorithms, design patterns, messaging patterns, containerization, and enterprise application.

Excellent verbal and writtenEnglishcommunication skills.

Passion to build software products.

Experience contributing to the architecture/design of new or current applications (frontends, design patterns, reliability, scaling, automation)

Knowledgeofcloud tools like Azure and exposure to DevOps practices like CI/CD will be an added advantage.

Niceto know about the following:

Exposure to Generative AI applications software building is an added advantage but not mandatory

Streamlit/Plotly-Dash/NiceGUI.

Kubernetes and Microservices.

Agile Methodology

NoSQL (MongoDB or equivalents).

Experience with Token Authentication Mechanisms (JWT etc)

Overview of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science.

Relevant Azure Certifications will be an added advantage.
