Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Project Controller for its Global Delivery Services Centre in India. The role focuses on budgeting, cost management, and dashboard development to support infrastructure projects from concept to completion.

Candidates should have 6+ years in project control within design consultancy, strong communication, and a Finance/Accounting background. Flexible working is discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• BE/ BTech or B.Com / M.Com Degree in Accounting/Finance; additional Finance degree is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project control and commercial management for infrastructure projects in design consultancy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand project commercials and cost management, including budgeting and resource profiling.
• Monitor actual cost/hours vs budget and perform earned value analysis.
• Prepare agreements, change control notes, invoices and follow up for approvals.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and support PM in BPM activities.
• Create dashboards with Power BI and collaborate with digital team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Understand the project commercials and cost management of the project including,
• Preparing budget, resource profiling
• Monitor the actual cost/hours against budget, earned value analysis
• Preparation of agreements, change control notes, invoices
• Follow up with internal clients on approval of change control notes, invoices etc.
• Preparing weekly/monthly progress reports
• Supporting Project Manager on Business Management System activities
• Understanding the existing dashboards and preparing new dashboards using power BI along with digital team
• Supporting Project Manager in their daily tasks, as & when required
• Storing project data properly as directed by Project Manager and ensure use of standard templates, information etc. across all similar projects.
• Proactive involving in improving the processes through automation and use of digital delivery practices.

Candidate Specification:

• BE/ BTech or B.Com / M.Com Degree in Accounting/Finance. Any additional degree in Finance would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project control and commercial management of Infrastructure projects within the design consultancy sector.
• Having excellent written and verbal communication skills.
