Job summary

Lexitas is expanding its Global Capability Center in Chennai and seeks a senior software engineer to join the development team. You will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade software in C# .NET, build responsive UIs with React, and collaborate across functions to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Responsibilities include API development, code reviews, testing, and mentoring junior engineers while aligning with Agile practices and DevOps for smooth deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (Masters preferred).
• Strong experience in Object Oriented programming using C#.
• 8+ years of direct experience with C# and the .NET (.NET 8+ preferred).
• 5+ years of experience with front-end frameworks using React.
• 5+ year of experience working on SQL databases (MySQL/MS SQL/PostgreSQL).
• 5+ years of experience in designing and architecting complex software systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Microservices architecture and containerization.
• Expertise in performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization.
• Understanding of DevOps practices for automated deployments.
• Understanding of software design patterns and best practices.
• Practical experience with Agile development (Scrum) with exposure to JIRA.
• Excellent mentoring and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to provide end to end solutions including coding, unit testing and defect fixes.
• Build scalable solutions and collaborate with QA to analyze and fix issues.
• Develop and maintain APIs and services in C# .NET.
• Develop and maintain web-based UIs using front-end frameworks.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing and integration testing.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to support.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security through best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps for deployment troubleshooting.
