Job summary

Lexitas India Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai is seeking a seasoned Principal Engineer (DevOps) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale cloud and DevOps solutions.

You will drive transformation, establish best practices, and ensure scalable, secure, and highly available platforms. You will architect IaC with Terraform, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and mentor teams while collaborating across development, security, and operations to deliver reliable software releases.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in DevOps and Cloud Architecture roles.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in enterprise-scale cloud transformation and modernization programs.
• Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud-native services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, CloudWatch, Route 53, API Gateway, AWS Security Services).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer (DevOps) with 15+ years of IT experience to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale DevOps and Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS Cloud, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, containerization, and cloud-native architecture. This role will be responsible for driving DevOps transformation, establishing best practices, and ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms.

Essential Functions:

• Python, Shell Scripting, PowerShell (preferred)

AI Enablement

• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-assisted development and operations tools to improve software delivery, operational efficiency, system reliability, and engineering productivity.
• Ability to evaluate, implement, and govern AI-enabled DevOps capabilities across the software development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident management.

Knowledge of microservices and serverless architectures.

Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.

Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
