Job summary

Citi in Pune seeks a hands‑on Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support enterprise‑scale applications using modern full‑stack technologies. You will own end‑to‑end delivery from architecture to production support, mentor juniors, and collaborate with global teams to drive modernization and best practices.

Strong experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React, REST APIs, Kafka, Redis, and cloud CI/CD is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in full‑stack development.
• Hands‑on expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Proficiency with Angular (15+) or React and REST API development.
• Experience with messaging (Kafka, JMS) and caching (Redis, Hazelcast).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, cloud‑ready applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Build modern web UIs with Angular and/or React (TypeScript).
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and event services (Kafka, messaging).
• Implement caching and performance optimizations (Redis, Hazelcast).
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders in Agile teams.

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support enterprise‑scale applications using modern full‑stack technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular/React, Cloud Technologies, and AI‑assisted development practices. This role requires end‑to‑end ownership of application delivery, from architecture and development through deployment and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, cloud‑ready applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Build modern web applications using Angular and/or React with TypeScript.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and event‑driven services using Kafka and messaging platforms.
• Implement caching and performance optimization solutions using Redis and Hazelcast.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, AI coding assistants, GenAI platforms) to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders in Agile teams.
• Drive application modernization, automation, observability, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership across the team.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in full‑stack development.

• Experience building AI‑enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Vector Databases, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Prometheus.
• Banking or Financial Services experience preferred.
