Citigroup Inc. in Pune, India seeks an Engineering Lead Analyst to lead engineering efforts across hardware, software, and network domains, and to deliver scalable Java microservices built on Spring Boot with an Angular front-end.

Qualifications

Job description

The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.

Java micro service developer will be part of an agile development team, building and working on enterprise level software systems on top Spring Boot, Java, and Agular Material development stack using CI/CD framework on ECS platform with microservice architecture.

He/she is responsible for delivering design and developing high-volume, low-latency, highly scalable applications for mission-critical application services. Expectation is to contribute to all phases of the development life cycle including well designed, testable, efficient code and be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group and in creating a technology domain roadmap
• Deploy and train Generative and Agentic AI applications while enforcing Responsible AI controls for safety and soundness
• Providing technical leadership guiding the team and advice or mentoring junior team members
• Design and development of high-volume, low-latency, highly scalable applications for mission-critical application services.
• Full stack development using Java, Spring Boot framework with Angular
• Day-to-day development work in Agile development environment using JIRA
• Application code development, integration testing and deployment using CI/CD framework using Github, Artifactory, Jenkins, BMC LightSpeed, etc.
• Knowledge of designing application workflows with Kafka and handling configuration of Topics, Partitions, Brokers etc.
• Knowledge of using caches like Redis, Memcached, Couchbase etc
• Writing unit tests in java script using modern testing tools
• Unit Testing using mocking frameworks
• Securing the micro service applications to complain to Citi security standards
• Development and Implementation of monitoring controls, integration with monitoring and reporting tools
• Tuning the application’s performance and availability to meet the application SLO and SLAs
• Contribute to SRE team work on continuous improvement.
• Collaborate on end-to-end resiliency and continuity of business tests.
• Provide level 3 support on critical application issues and collaborating across multiple teams to resolve the issues and ensure application stability.

Recommended Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Full stack Development and Automation role, especially with Springboot framework with Micro services, Core Java/J2EE, Node-JS, Sprint Boot, Angular and/or React, API development, etc.
• Working knowledge in deploying and harnessing Generative and Agentic AI applications while enforcing Responsible AI controls for safety and soundness
• Should have deep knowledge of SOA & Micro services, REST Services Development
• Strong knowledge of Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience using LightSpeed, Jenkins, Github, CI/CD, Harness, COIN
• Working knowledge on Databases of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB
• Experience developing automation preferably in Ansible scripting, Python coding is huge plus
• Broad knowledge of web standards relating to API’s (OAuth, SSL, JWT etc.)
• Knowledge of Containers, ECS, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
• Working experience in Agile development environment using JIRA
• Kafka or any messaging experience
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and collaborate with ease
• Project Management experience
• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
• Working knowledge in Observability tools such as Grafana, ELK, Splunk
• Domain knowledge of Enterprise level Databases such as Oracle, MongoDB, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
• Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Proven track record of operational process changes and improvement
