Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Chennai is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Cost Accounting to support site cost accounting activities, month-end close, and SOX compliance. You will work with site finance to analyze cost drivers and drive process improvements.

This role offers exposure to US GAAP and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates have a commerce or accounting degree with 3–5 years’ experience, strong MS Office skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: B.Com / BBA / MBA with 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• MS Office proficiency and strong English communication.
• Understanding and interpretation of accounting policies & US GAAP knowledge.
• Ability to work in a complex environment and be a good team player.
• Collaborative team player able to work in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Support cost accounting activities and month-end finalization.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
• Ensure SOX compliance and assist with audits.
• Train and mentor new joiners; support quarterly reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end close and site finance activities.
• Support SOX scope and internal controls.
• Provide training and mentor new joiners.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Senior financial Analyst - Cost Accounting solutions based in Chennai location

What a typical day looks like:

• Support cost accounting activities of Flex sites.
• Conversant with Flex policies & updates.
• Collaborate with Flex counterpart to fix issue & address the root cause.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives & metrics improvement.
• Work on month-end finalization support with site finance.
• Drive Process improvement projects for the site supported.
• Contribute to site's operating profit through intense analysis, reviews & calls.
• Ensure activities performed are under scope of SOX.
• Gain customer confidence with collaboration & focus.
• To work on standardization & implementation of best practices with counterparts.
• To provide training & mentor new joiners.
• Support quarterly reviews, year-end audits, balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and U.S. GAAP

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• B.com/BBA/MBA/B.com CA/M.com/MBA along with 3- 5years of experience.
• MS office
• Sound knowledge in accounting principles
• Understand & interpret accounting policies & guidelines
• Knowledge in MS applications
• Excellent oral & written communication skills in English
• Good team player and ability to work under complex work environment
