Job summary

Flex Chennai is seeking an Associate Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions to support its finance team. The role focuses on period-end P&L reviews, variances, and reconciliations, ensuring postings adhere to policy and procedures.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare forecasts and budgets, identify risks, and drive improvements in financial metrics. Night shift coverage is required in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level commerce degree or equivalent (B.Com, B.C.S, M.Com, MBA, BBA/BBM).
• Professional certification such as CPA/ CMA/ CMA/ CA is a plus.
• Shift: 5 PM to 2 AM night shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of P&L accounts to ensure postings follow policy, process and procedures.
• Compare actual results with forecast/quote and research variances for necessary postings.
• Collect business reasons for variances and report them.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger/manual schedules to identify variances.
• Review accounts periodically to identify risks and mitigate them.
• Ensure close-related reporting activities are planned and executed on time with accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare forecast/budget for related accounts.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve business and operational metrics.
• Be familiar with accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a in Associate Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
• Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience.
• A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
• Shift timings- 5 PM to 2 AM , night Shift.
