Job summary

Flex is seeking an Associate Financial Analyst – Cost Accounting Solutions in Chennai to support monthly close, review P&L postings, and ensure variances are analyzed and booked accurately.

You will work with cross-functional teams to prepare forecasts and budgets, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. We value growth, inclusivity, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience.
• Commerce or accounting degree required.
• Professional certifications such as CPA/CA/ CMA preferred.
• Shift timings: 5 PM to 2 AM, night shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) accounts to ensure postings follow policy and procedures.
• Compare actuals with forecast/quotations and research variances, recording required adjustments.
• Collect business reasons for variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger/manual schedules to identify and address variances.
• Review accounts periodically to identify risks and ensure mitigations.
• Plan and execute book-close related/reporting activities accurately and on time.
• Prepare forecasts/budgets with operations to improve financial metrics.
• Ensure compliance with accounting/regulatory requirements per Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a in Associate FinancialAnalyst – Cost Accounting Solutions inChennai.What a typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly. researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.
• Typically requires 1-2 years of related experience.
• A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
• Shift timings- 5 PM to 2 AM , night Shift.
