Job summary

FarmwiseAI in Chennai is seeking a Senior Finance Executive (IC) to independently manage Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Compliance, Audit, Financial Reporting and Treasury Operations.

The candidate should have 4.8–7 years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST/TDS, and proven ability to own end-to-end finance operations in a startup/tech services environment.

Qualifications

• 4.8–7 years of hands-on experience in Finance and Accounting.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end finance operations independently.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, Taxation, Financial Reporting, and Statutory Compliance.
• Experience in a startup, technology, SaaS, or service-based organization will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Finance and Accounting operations independently.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial book closures with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, management reports, and business performance analysis.
• Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliance filings.
• Coordinate and manage Statutory, Internal, and Tax Audits.
• Perform General Ledger reviews, account reconciliations, and maintain accounting accuracy.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and compliance processes.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and statutory authorities.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and finance operational efficiency.

Role Overview
