Hiring: Senior Finance Consultant – Oracle NetSuite ERP Implementation & Finance Transformation

Duration: 6–8 months, with a possibility of extension based on project requirements

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Consultant to lead the finance and accounting workstream of an Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation and finance transformation project.

The candidate will work closely with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, and the implementation partner to streamline financial processes, ensure statutory compliance, strengthen financial controls, and support successful ERP implementation, integration, and go-live.

• Finance Process Transformation: Assess existing finance processes, document As-Is and To-Be workflows, identify gaps and manual activities, and drive process standardisation and automation.
• Oracle NetSuite Implementation: Gather business requirements, prepare functional specifications, validate system configurations, and support finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Banking, Taxation, and Financial Reporting.
• Chart of Accounts & Master Data: Lead Chart of Accounts standardisation, financial master-data rationalisation, and the definition of accounting structures, approval workflows, and governance controls.
• Compliance & Financial Controls: Ensure the finance solution supports applicable Indian statutory and taxation requirements, including GST, TDS/TCS, e-invoicing, and e-way bills. Review internal controls, approval matrices, segregation of duties, and audit requirements.
• Business System Integration: Define finance integration requirements between NetSuite and operational systems covering logistics, freight forwarding, CHA, 3PL, WMS, TMS, and related operations. Ensure accurate transaction mapping for job costing, billing, vendor invoices, accruals, collections, and profitability reporting.
• Data Migration & Reconciliation: Oversee financial data cleansing, mapping, migration, opening balance validation, and reconciliation of general ledger balances and outstanding receivables/payables.
• Testing & Go-Live: Coordinate UAT, validate financial transactions and reports, track defects, prepare finance SOPs and training materials, and support cutover, go-live, and post-implementation stabilisation.
• Management Reporting: Define reporting requirements for revenue, costs, profitability, working capital, cash flow, budgeting, and financial performance.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work with the implementation partner, Finance, IT, business teams, auditors, and senior management to resolve issues, manage dependencies, and achieve implementation milestones.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with relevant ERP implementation or transformation experience.
• Proven hands‑on functional experience in Oracle NetSuite implementation, preferably as a Senior Functional Consultant or Finance Workstream Lead.
• CA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or a relevant postgraduate finance qualification with substantial ERP implementation experience.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Good understanding of Indian taxation, statutory compliance, and internal financial controls.
• Experience in Chart of Accounts design, financial master-data governance, data migration, UAT, and finance process documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Industry Experience

• Freight forwarding, logistics, CHA, third‑party logistics (3PL), warehousing, and supply‑chain management.
• Exposure to ICD, CFS, SEZ, FTWZ, and transportation operations.
• Experience in multi‑branch, multi‑entity, and multi‑currency business environments.
• Understanding of operational job costing, revenue recognition, customer billing, vendor costs, accruals, collections, and profitability analysis.
• Exposure to finance transformation, audit readiness, consolidated reporting, or IPO‑readiness initiatives would be an advantage.
