Job summary

Dr. Paws Healthcare in Bangalore is hiring a Chartered Accountant to lead our finance function on-site.

You will own ledgers, cash flow, AP/AR and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, while building budgets and analyzing variances. Strong Excel and ERP skills, sharp analytical ability, and experience in a consumer startup environment are essential to coordinate with auditors and drive controls across multi-location operations.

We do this by creating clinics that have a calming and welcoming interior, and providing service that is extremely hospitable and caring towards pets and their parents. Our clinics have everything a pet-parent would need under one roof (vet consults, grooming, pet-retail, diagnostics, imaging, surgeries etc.)

We are venture-capital backed (Lead Investor is Sauce.VC, India's most reputed early-stage consumer brand investor) and have a number of marquee angels behind us (Founders of Cult.Fit, Zetwerk, Tracxn, Executive Vice-Chairman Tata Sons).

Key responsibilities:

• Own general ledgers, cash flow, AP/AR
• Prepare and review monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements
• Build and track budgets, analyze variances and financial performance
• Implement internal controls and optimize finance processes
• Coordinate with auditors and external partners
• Lead and mentor the finance team

Requirements:

• CA mandatory (or cleared at least 2 groups of CA)
• 3-4 years experience, either: reported directly to a Financial Controller, or worked as a Financial Controller with less than 3 years experience
• Prior experience at a consumer startup is mandatory
• Strong Excel + ERP/financial software skills
• Healthcare, retail, or multi-location service business experience is a plus
• Sharp analytical skills and strong communication with non-finance stakeholders

This is a fulltime on-site role based in Bangalore.
