Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Works closely with the sales and extended teams to map end‑user customer business, partner requirements and provide most optimized technical solutions
- Provides technical leadership in pre‑Sales and oversees implementation of such solutions
- Effectively engages with customers’ technical team, gains and maintains trust
- Highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware and software interaction
- Possesses basic HW debug skills and is capable of performing hands‑on activities onsite
- Manages and leads teams during investigation and resolution of problems in the field
- Has a good understanding of firmware, drivers, OS, applications and their interaction that can cause system issues
- Develops and reviews systems solutions, technical bid responses and presentations
- Works cross‑department to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues
- Builds and demonstrates proof‑of‑concept that meets or exceeds customer business needs
- Presents the corporate brand, product messaging and solutions to customers
- Visits on‑site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolution
- Provides support for on‑site data center audits and surveys
- Supports some travel required (up to 30%)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering is preferred
- Strong experience with data center infrastructure and comprehensive knowledge of data center facilities is a plus
- Strong experience in networking topology and architecture is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and business sense required
- Minimum 8 years related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience desired
- Strong background and experience with x86 and GPU‑based server architecture
- Solid HW system expertise and diagnostics skills
- Familiarity with firmware, Linux, Windows and virtualization platforms is a plus
- Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines
- Individuals must be able to work effectively in a high‑pressure environment
