Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance in Mumbai seeks a Senior Executive - Commercial Underwriting to review proposals and referrals and deliver underwriting decisions within approved authority levels to secure profitable business.

You will manage customer interactions, support the sales team across allocated portfolios, contribute to segment plans, train internal teams and intermediaries, and maintain control environments aligned with policy and regulatory requirements.

• B.com degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Review allocated proposals and non-standard referrals and deliver underwriting decisions following the approved process at the designated authority level to secure profitable business within the risk appetite.
• Manage customer interactions efficiently to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
• Support the sales team across all allocated portfolios and contribute to developing consolidating relationships with channel partners.
• Contribute to development of segment and local prepositions and sales/marketing plans.
• Train internal team members and intermediaries.
• Maintain effective and proportionate business control environment in line with internal policy and external regulatory requirements.
• Lead and contribute to technical audits.
