Job summary

HDFC ERGO General Insurance in India seeks an Assistant Vice President - Underwriting with 4–8 years of experience in risk engineering, safety, and on‑floor industrial risk assessments. The role involves conducting risk surveys and supporting underwriting with desktop analyses.

You will also lead safety and electrical audits, aiming for targeted loss ratios and timely inspection reports, with emphasis on third‑party surveyor coordination and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Engineering.
• 4–5 years of experience in Risk engineering / Safety / industrial Experience on floor.
• PG in safety ADIS will be of added advantages

Responsibilities

• Conducting Risk Surveys for Client based on requirement
• Conducting Desktop Analysis / PML for market reports and help with UW inputs
• Conducting Safety audits, Electrical audits , Training's for client based on client needs.
• Targeted Loss ratio for applicable line of business.
• Targeted number of Risk inspection done and qualitative Risk Inspection reports issued within TAT.
• Third party surveyor appointment, training and ensuring quality inspection report. Targeted level of process development/ improvement.
• Targeted number and man-days of Self Learning and Knowledge sharing events
