Job summary

SAVA Group in India is seeking a full-time procurement lead with 8–12 years in sourcing materials and managing supplier relationships. The role focuses on cost analysis, contract negotiations, and ensuring on-time, in-full deliveries from third-party manufacturers.

Ideal candidates will have a science background (B.Sc./B.Pharm) and strong cross-functional collaboration skills to align Finance, Planning and Quality Assurance with supplier performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science; B.Sc. or B.Pharm preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in sourcing and procurement.
• Experience with third-party manufacturers and ensuring OTIF.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing for raw materials and packaging materials, negotiate contracts and ensure on-time delivery.
• Perform thorough cost analysis including raw materials, packaging, conversion costs, margins and overheads to establish transfer prices.
• Benchmark prices to optimize costs for materials.
• Negotiate supplier agreements emphasizing product quality and timely delivery.
• Ensure sourced products meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Coordinate with third-party manufacturing sites for timely dispatch and to prevent stockouts.
• Conduct regular meetings with third-party vendors to address delivery performance and quality issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams (BD, Planning, Packaging, CQA, Finance) to enable efficient third-party operations.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and Procurement: Lead the sourcing process for raw materials and packaging materials, including identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Cost Analysis and Pricing: Perform thorough cost analysis, considering raw materials, packaging materials, conversion costs, margins, and overheads to establish competitive transfer prices.
• Benchmark raw material and packaging material prices for cost optimization.
• Supplier Agreements and Quality Assurance: Negotiate and establish commercial agreements with suppliers, emphasizing product quality and adherence to delivery timelines.
• Ensure that all sourced products meet regulatory and quality standards.
• Coordinate with third-party manufacturing sites for timely product dispatch, preventing sales loss or stock out scenarios.
• Conduct regular meetings with third-party vendors to address product delivery performance, on-time in-full (OTIF) considerations, and resolution of issues regarding product quality or delivery.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including Business Development, Planning, Packaging, Corporate Quality Assurance (CQA), and Finance, to ensure the efficient and effective execution of third-party operations.
