Job summary

Bhuta Shah & Co. LLP, a Chartered Accountancy firm in Mumbai, seeks an experienced Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting, GST/TDS compliance, and financial reporting within a busy practice at Nariman Point.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of Tally ERP/Prime, and proficiency in MS Excel; experience with audit support and IND AS is a plus. The role offers exposure to diverse clients across listed entities and LLPs.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com with CA Inter or CMA Inter preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and taxation laws.
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Experience in GST return filing, TDS compliance, and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end closing.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
• Experience in audit support and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ethics, professionalism, and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day accounting in Tallly ERP software.
• Assisting in preparation of GST, TDS, PT & other statutory Returns.
• Preparing Bank reconciliations on daily/monthly/quarterly basis.
• Monitoring proper accounting of payments and processing of cheques on time.
• Passing entries and maintaining company & Family investments.
• Maintaining KYC for the company & all partners.
• Checking of reimbursement vouchers & passing entries of expenses in tally.
• Assisting in Finalization of accounts & tax Audits.
