Job summary

Avaada Energy in Nagpur is seeking a Security Officer / Senior Executive to safeguard our solar panel manufacturing plant. The role involves round-the-clock security of employees, assets, and information, with proactive surveillance and coordination with internal teams and external authorities.

Key duties include monitoring CCTV and access control, patrolling, incident prevention, emergency response, training security staff, and ensuring compliance with plant security policies and ISO/OHSAS

Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline with security experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing/ Renewable Energy Plant Security.
  • Ex-servicemen preferred.
  • Certification in Industrial Security / Fire & Safety is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Job Description Security Officer / Senior Executive

Location: Nagpur

Job Purpose

To ensure round-the-clock safety and security of employees, assets, information, and infrastructure at the Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant through proactive surveillance, risk prevention, and strong coordination with internal teams and external authorities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Physical Security & Surveillance
  • Safeguard plant premises, raw materials, finished goods, and warehouses.
  • Monitor CCTV systems, access control, and perimeter security.
  • Conduct regular patrolling and inspections across production, storage, utilities, and dispatch areas.
2. Incident Prevention & Emergency Response
  • Identify potential risks, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities.
  • Respond promptly to fire incidents, theft, accidents, and unauthorized access.
  • Maintain incident registers, prepare investigation reports, and recommend corrective actions.
3. Manpower & Vendor Coordination
  • Supervise security guards, shift rosters, and deployment at key locations.
  • Conduct training and security awareness programs for guards and staff.
  • Coordinate with third-party security agencies and ensure adherence to SOPs.
4. Compliance & Audits
  • Ensure compliance with plant security policies, statutory requirements, and ISO / OHSAS standards.
  • Support internal and external audits related to security and safety.
5. Logistics & Material Movement Control
  • Monitor inbound and outbound movement of materials, finished goods, and contractor vehicles.
  • Verify gate passes, challans, and material issue/return documents.
  • Implement and monitor Integrated Truck Management System (ITMS) to prevent pilferage (where applicable).
6. Liaison & Reporting
  • Maintain strong liaison with local police, fire department, and emergency services.
  • Prepare and submit Daily Security Reports (DSR) and Monthly Review Reports to management.
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of industrial security practices, preferably in renewable / solar manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with CCTV, access control systems, and emergency response protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of fire safety and first aid.
Qualification & Experience
  • Graduate in any discipline. Ex-servicemen from Indian Army or Navy, Air Force preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing / Renewable Energy Plant Security.
  • Certification in Industrial Security / Fire & Safety will be an added advantage.
