• Retired Army Officer / Defence Personnel mandatory.
• Strong experience in managing security operations, preferably for a manufacturing plant, industrial facility, large infrastructure site, or corporate facility.
• Experience in managing large security teams and outsourced security agencies.
• Strong knowledge of physical security, access control, surveillance, incident management, and crisis response.
• Excellent leadership, discipline, investigation, and decision-making skills.
• Strong liaison and coordination skills with local authorities and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Marathi / Hindi.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete security function for the manufacturing plant.
• Develop and implement plant security policies, SOPs, and protocols.
• Ensure round-the-clock security coverage of the plant premises.
• Manage security personnel, supervisors, and outsourced agencies.
• Conduct regular security reviews and identify gaps and risks.
• Implement and monitor access control for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Oversee gate management, visitor management, vehicle entry/exit, and material movement.
• Monitor CCTV and other electronic security systems.
• Maintain strict control over restricted areas.
• Protect plant assets, machinery, inventory, and materials.
• Prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized access, and loss of property.
• Monitor movement of raw materials, finished goods, and critical assets with relevant departments.
• Conduct security risk assessments and preventive measures.
• Develop emergency response and crisis management procedures.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and breaches.
• Prepare incident reports and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with police and authorities when required.
• Recruit, train, deploy, and manage security workforce.
• Establish duty rosters, shift schedules, deployment plans.
• Conduct security training, drills, inspections, and performance reviews.
• Ensure discipline, alertness, and readiness of the team.
• Manage relationships with external security agencies and providers.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head Security to lead and manage the overall security function for our manufacturing plant at Talegaon, Pune. The ideal candidate should be a retired Army Officer or Defence Personnel with strong experience in security operations, risk management, crisis response, access control, and managing large security teams.

The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust security systems and procedures to safeguard plant premises, employees, assets, materials, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Security Management

• Lead the complete security function for the manufacturing plant.
• Develop and implement comprehensive plant security policies, SOPs, and protocols.
• Ensure round-the-clock security coverage of the plant premises.
• Manage security personnel, supervisors, and outsourced security agencies.
• Conduct regular security reviews and identify potential security gaps and risks.

2. Access Control & Surveillance

• Implement and monitor effective access control systems for employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
• Oversee gate management, visitor management, vehicle entry/exit, and material movement.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance and other electronic security systems.
• Ensure strict control over sensitive and restricted areas within the plant.

3. Asset & Material Protection

• Ensure protection of plant assets, machinery, equipment, inventory, and materials.
• Develop systems to prevent theft, pilferage, unauthorized access, and loss of company property.
• Monitor movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other critical assets in coordination with relevant departments.

4. Security Risk & Crisis Management

• Conduct periodic security risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.
• Develop and implement emergency response and crisis management procedures.
• Lead investigations into security incidents, theft, breaches, or other irregularities.
• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with local police, Government authorities, and emergency services whenever required.

5. Security Team Management

• Recruit, train, deploy, and manage the security workforce.
• Establish duty rosters, shift schedules, and deployment plans.
• Conduct regular security training, drills, inspections, and performance reviews.
• Ensure discipline, alertness, and operational readiness of the security team.

6. Contractor & Agency Management

• Manage relationships with external security agencies and service providers.
• Monitor performance, attendance, deployment, and compliance of outsourced security personnel.
• Ensure all security personnel adhere to company policies and plant security protocols.

7. Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with all applicable security-related statutory and company requirements.
• Maintain security registers, visitor records, incident reports, and other relevant documentation.
• Prepare periodic security reports and present key risks and recommendations to Plant Management.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 1520 years of relevant experience in security, defence, plant security, or industrial security.
