Job summary

We Connect, a Hyderabad-based event management company, is seeking a Senior Event Architect to own event concepts, spatial planning and design development for corporate events, exhibitions, and activations.

The role requires strong creative thinking with practical knowledge of event production, fabrication and venue requirements, coordinating with production teams to ensure feasibility.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in event architecture, exhibition design, interior design, architecture or related field.
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, proportions, dimensions and event layouts.
• Portfolio of relevant professional or academic work is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop complete spatial concepts and layouts for corporate events, exhibitions and activations.
• Create detailed 2D layouts, floor plans, elevations and 3D visualisations.
• Design stages, exhibition booths, stalls, branding zones, seating areas, registration spaces and other event environments.
• Translate client briefs into creative and practical spatial solutions.
• Lead design discussions and present concepts to internal teams and clients.
• Work closely with Production and Project teams to ensure designs are technically and commercially feasible.
• Conduct site visits, take measurements and assess venue constraints.
• Review materials, dimensions, fabrication requirements and installation feasibility.
• Incorporate client feedback and manage design revisions within deadlines.
• Guide Junior Event Architects and review their work when required.
• Participate in on-ground execution to ensure the final setup matches the approved design.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Event Architect to take ownership of event concepts, spatial planning and design development. The role requires strong creative thinking combined with practical knowledge of event production, fabrication and venue requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop complete spatial concepts and layouts for corporate events, exhibitions and activations.
• Create detailed 2D layouts, floor plans, elevations and 3D visualisations.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in event architecture, exhibition design, interior design, architecture or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Blender, Revit or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of spatial planning, proportions, dimensions and event layouts.
• Good knowledge of materials, fabrication and event production.
• Strong visualisation and concept development skills.
• Ability to work from a brief and independently develop design solutions.
• Good understanding of branding and visitor movement within event spaces.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Portfolio of relevant professional or academic work is required.

Ideal Candidate

A creative, practical and detail-oriented designer who can take ownership of a concept from the initial brief through to execution. The candidate should be comfortable challenging ideas, proposing better solutions and working closely with production teams.

• Independently develop and present event concepts.

• Reduce design-to-production issues through better planning.
• Support and guide junior design team members.
• Contribute innovative spatial ideas across projects.

Selection Process

Candidates will undergo an interview and practical design assessment covering spatial planning, event concept development, visualisation and production feasibility.
