Job summary

Xihi Technology in India seeks a Senior Equipment Engineer to drive the TPM program, optimize automated production lines, and lead new equipment initiatives. You will troubleshoot breakdowns, perform root-cause analyses, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with production, quality, and procurement teams.

The role requires extensive knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems, automated line equipment, and reading technical drawings to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of equipment engineering experience in electronic assembly factories.

Responsibilities

• Oversee equipment engineering for electronic assembly and related lines.
• Lead TPM implementation and maintenance standards to boost OEE.
• Drive new machine introduction, fixture/tooling design, and upgrades.
• Lead breakdown response and RCA using 5 Why and 8D methods.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Purchasing for issue resolution.
• Read and interpret English technical drawings and schematics.

Senior Equipment Engineer

Experience: 3+ Years
Industry: Electronics / Electronic Assembly Manufacturing

Job Responsibilities

1. Over 3 years of equipment engineering experience in electronic assembly factories, with strong knowledge of the structural principles and operation of automated production lines, wave soldering machines, ultrasonic welding equipment, CCD vision systems, and test fixtures.


2. Lead the establishment and implementation of the equipment TPM system for production lines. Develop and implement daily, weekly, and annual equipment inspection and maintenance standards to reduce equipment failure rates and improve OEE.


3. Independently handle new machine introduction, fixture/tooling design optimization, equipment modification and upgrades. Coordinate with equipment suppliers for equipment commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.


4. Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns, production stoppages, and mass process abnormalities. Apply 5 Why, 8D, and root-cause analysis methods to identify the causes and implement long-term improvement solutions.


5. Provide technical guidance and training to junior equipment engineers and technicians. Lead equipment improvement projects and coordinate with Production, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure effective issue resolution and closure.


6. Possess basic knowledge of pneumatic systems, electrical circuits, servo systems, and pneumatic components. Able to read and understand equipment drawings, with basic ability to read English technical drawings and forms.


7. Familiar with workshop ESD requirements and equipment safety standards, with the ability to establish and manage an equipment spare-parts management system.
