Job summary

Micron Technology in India is seeking a GEL Technician to support lab activities including equipment maintenance, calibration, spares management, and inventory logistics.

The role covers daily operation of reliability lab equipment, participation in quality and cost-improvement projects, and collaboration with team members in a safe, productive environment. Shift flexibility and willingness to travel 0-30% are expected.

Qualifications

• 8-9 years of lab/reliability experience with engineering diploma.
• Hands-on calibration and preventive maintenance knowledge.
• Familiar with ISO/IEC 17025 standards for mechanical, electrical and thermal.
• Ability to work in shifts and travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on maintenance for lab tools (bake ovens, soak chambers, temperature cycle chambers, Hast chamber, reflow ovens).
• Operate and maintain reliability lab equipment and consumables.
• Track and update lab operation progress for review.
• Participate in quality, productivity and cost improvement projects in Reliability lab.
• Work in a safe, cohesive, collaborative manner with the team.

As a GEL Technician, you responsibilities encompass supporting lab activities in terms of equipment maintenance, calibration, spares management, procurement of parts, inventory logistic management, housekeeping, minor project undertaking, audits and continual improvements.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Provide hands‑on semiconductor lab’s tools bake oven, Soak chamber, Temperature cycle chamber, Hast chamber, Reflow oven etc.. Operate and maintain analytical equipment in Reliability. Oversee daily maintenance and operation of Reliability lab equipment and consumables. Responsible for daily tracking and updating for lab operation progress for further review. Participate in quality, productivity and cost improvement projects in Reliability lab. Able to work as a team with fellow members in a safe, cohesive and collaborative way. Always think, converse and behave in a positive manner with a growth mindset. Able to readily share knowledge, willing to co‑work and behave professionally even under stress. Be resourceful and able to look for solution with minimum supervision. Able to hold his own, carry out due diligence before making decision. Call out issue for attention if required. Knowledge about ESD & Clean room.

Requirement

8-9-year experience with Diploma in Electronics, Electronics, computer science engineering field. Candidate with experience supporting Lab, reliability & failure analysis activities is highly encouraged to apply. Basic knowledge to calibration & preventive maintenances & calibration. Basic knowledge about ISO/IEC std 17025 for mechanical, Electrical, Thermal etc.. parameters. Work time flexibility in shift & minimum travel of 0 to 30%
